Your analytics choice

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics. Choose Reject analytics to browse without loading it on a fresh page. Your choice is saved on this device in pr-consent.

Change cookie settings to review your choice. If you previously accepted analytics, rejecting disables further collection and removes this site's first-party Google Analytics cookies. Reload the page to remove the previously loaded analytics script.

The settings control needs JavaScript. With JavaScript disabled, this site's analytics script does not run. Your browser settings can also remove cookies and saved website data.

Optional analytics cookies

When accepted, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_ cookies to distinguish visits and record session information. Their actual expiry is determined by the analytics configuration and your browser. The analytics account's retention settings have not been confirmed in this notice.

Analytics measures page use and actions such as printing or following a retailer link. The site's analytics events do not include household-plan text, care selections or postcodes. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are requested as disabled. See Google's privacy policy.

Functional storage on this device

The interactive tools use local storage so you can keep a plan or return to a checklist. This is different from an analytics cookie. Rejecting analytics does not switch off the tools.

  • prepperready-kit keeps kit selections; pr-kit-private keeps private kit notes, custom items and the review date.
  • pr-household-plan keeps a household plan when you choose to save it.
  • pr-checklist-ticks keeps checklist ticks.
  • prepperready-reading-v1 keeps saved article identifiers; prepperready-reading-size keeps your reading-size preference.
  • pr-appearance-v2 keeps your appearance preference.
  • pr-consent keeps your analytics choice.

These entries have no fixed expiry set by the site. They remain until you remove them or your browser clears them. Someone sharing your browser profile may be able to read a saved plan.

The site can also use an essential session cookie when a server session is needed, for example to protect an enabled newsletter form against forged submissions or to sign into the editorial Panel. It is not an analytics cookie.

Clear saved information

Use the privacy page's clear controls to choose which information to remove, or clear this website's data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also removes your appearance and analytics preferences. It does not delete printed plans, downloads, shared links or another website's data.

External retailers, official services and feed readers have their own cookies and privacy settings. For more detail about saved plans, sharing and information handling, read the privacy notice.
